Welcome to Transition Ireland.

We are a non-party Movement with a single objective - the reclamation of ALL of the island of Ireland by and for the Irish people.

There are many great things to be said about the Irish; we are known and admired throughout the world; we have excelled in so many areas.

But, as with all countries, we also have problems. The greatest problem we face is the unnatural division of our island.

This is not to say that the unification of our island will solve all these problems, but it will result in applying the united resources of our people to confronting our difficulties.

So join with us now. It is time to Establish The Nation.

  • Foreword

The 100-year experiment in domination by British planters over the Irish in 6 counties in northern Ireland has failed.

Since being found out and exposed by the international community in the 1970s and '80s, Unionists have been caught on the wrong side of history. Like the Boers in South Africa, their time is up, their cause is dead. Justice has prevailed and Irish nationalists are now in the ascendant.

Since the partition of our country in 1921, there has been death, destruction and distrust, all caused by the British and their acolytes, the Unionists.

Because these Unionists, for generation after generation, have refused to integrate with the Irish people on this island, our lives have been blighted, our economy stultified.

The Anglo-Irish Agreement of 1985 and the Good Friday Agreement of 1998 not only helped to bring a halt to military activities, but they also gave the Catholic/Nationalist/Irish the opportunity and the courage to be equal citizens in their own land and dispense with fear.

This freedom has been carried forward, particularly by young people, who have consigned the Unionist hegemony to the dustbin of history where it belongs.

As recent elections have shown, the Irish are now in the ascendant in Northern Ireland, so the 1985 & 1998 Agreements have served their purpose.

Unionists are friendless and effectively homeless. They are now faced with a decision: to stay in Ireland or live in a place where their loyalties will feel better rewarded.

Now is the time for the Irish people to make the final push for the control of their island, their future and their destiny.

Transition Ireland's objective is simple: the reclamation of the island of Ireland - all of it - by and for the Irish people.

We will do this by helping to organise and carry out the transition from the fractured island it is now to an Ireland Undivided.

< Transition Ireland > will march under the banner heading this page:

* The Green of Ireland - respected and admired throughout the world

* The 4-pointed star - to represent the four provinces of Ireland

* The Raven (Morrigan) - Celtic symbol of the goddess's role as guardian of the territory and its people

So, if you are in favour of establishing a new, undivided, peaceful & prosperous Ireland, join the Movement

  • Where do we go from here?

First, Establish The Nation

There has been much talk about border polls and a United or New Ireland. Discussion of these possibilities are important in that they help to determine the agenda for the near future. However, they are premature and possibly detrimental if the ground is not prepared properly before such a poll takes place.

If a poll is to be run, it is critical that it is won at the first attempt.

Let us imagine that a border poll takes place today, and that it is passed by the people of, North and South, in favour of unifying the country.

And let us imagine that next week, following the successful poll, we are going to introduce (roughly) one million Unionist people and one million nationalist people to the body politic of this island. What are we going to do with them? Some of them are open to discussing a future together, some of them say No Surrender!
